We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Executive Head of Department – Supply Chain Enablement within the Finance Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to the Management Executive – SCM & Logistics the role holder will define and drive supply chain processes, procedures and systems to ensure that the supply chain function delivers value while effectively managing the associated supply risk, building supplier relationships and driving social contract value to achieve an efficient, sustainable and diverse supply chain

Job Responsibilities 

  1. Documented Processes and Procedures
  2. Drive policies documentation across all SCM departments
  3. Review processes against Group and global best practices and drive change
  4. Supply Chain Tools and Systems
  5. Coordinate implementation of supply chain systems including ERP and others.
  6. Build robust analytics across all supply chain processes to create transparency and visibility for users
  7. Identify gaps in supply chain tools and drive improvements
  8. Operational Efficiency and Continuous Improvement
  9. Establish and maintaining measurable performance metrics for all supply chain processes
  10. Drive effective business support on purchase ordering, contract management and supplier qualification/governance through the order desk and Operations Team
  11. Supply Chain Sustainability
  12. Develop and drive supplier diversity programmes for effective transfer of technology and capacity in line with the Company’s social contract targets
  13. Formulate and drive programmes for sustainable impact including energy and waste management from a supply chain perspective
  14. Staff Management
  15. Lead, develop and motivate staff to ensure that set objectives are met, and that staff meet their career objectives 

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business or similar qualification
  • A Graduate Diploma Qualification in Supply Chain Management is an added advantage
  • At least 7-9 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Finance, Audit or similar function with responsibility for process continuous improvement, in an environment leveraging ERP and other digital capabilities for supply chain-related functions and processes.
