Job Summary: - Under the general supervision of the Senior Sewer, the sewer is engaged in sewing simple footwear parts and simple Mobility Aid upholstery and simple suspensions for prosthetics-orthotics applications
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sews simple footwear parts and simple Mobility Aid upholstery and simple suspensions for prosthetics-orthotics applications
- Marks and punches out eyelets, and inserts and clinches metal rings in holes, using eyelet riveter.
- Inserts foam cushioning or arch support material, for example steel, leather, or cork, under insole to support or cushion foot.
- Sews sole and upper together, using hand sewing or sewing machine.
- Prepares different types of body supporting belts for patients
- Writes reports of the activities undertaken him/her as required
- Performs any other related duties as directed by the Footwear Maker or unit leader
Work Unit: Footwear Production
Immediate Supervisor: Senior Sewer

Job Requirements
Qualification
- Level III/ Level II in leather sewing
Experience
- 3 years in leather sewing for Level III and 6 years for Level II
