Job Description
Background:
The Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) was founded in 1970 through the initiative of the Norwegian and Swedish Save the Children organizations seconded by the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia. The Institute got its name from the Norwegian physician, Gerhard Henrik Armauer Hansen, who first described the leprosy bacillus (Mycobacterium leprae). AHRI is put under FMoH as a biomedical, clinical trial and epidemiology, and hub for skill transfer and knowledge transfer for postgraduate trainees from Ethiopia and beyond.
The Malaria and Neglected Tropical Disease (MNTD) directorate in AHRI run several projects in collaboration with local and international organizations. To execute the activities of the Ethiopian Malaria Genomic Epidemiology Network (EMAGEN) grant obtained from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Malaria-Neglected Tropical Diseases Research Directorate is looking for experienced, self-driven and motivated researchers to join our team for Genomic data analysis of the MNTD directorate and interested to excel his/her skill into Bioinformatics, Big data science, statistical and Mathematical modelling.
