Boston Partners PLC would like to invite qualified candidates for the Project Director position.

Position Summary:

As a project director he/she will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a project to ensure the quality is of a high standard, and that it is running to the timescales allowed.

Job Role

• Meeting with engineers, architects and contractors on an ongoing basis regarding project objectives and progress.
• Monitoring build progress, overseeing finance and ensuring project quality
• Managing and motivating site engineers and formans
• Ensuring all equipment needed is available on site
• Ensuring budget costs relating to wages, contractors, materials and equipment aren’t exceeded
• Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and all other regulations
• Conducting ongoing site inspections
• Meeting with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress
• Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships
• Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion
• Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damage
• Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project
• Managing project managers and enabling them to supervise and manage their own teams
• Working closely with new business development team

Job Requirements

Education

• BSC or MSC Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Skills

• Excellent project management skill
• Managing multi sector projects
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Leadership and business management skills
• Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware and software (ex. Autocad, excel)

Experience

• Proven 10 years experience in project management, ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion, experience overseeing a construction project & budget management experience.
