The Senior National SRH Technical Advisor will be part of the advisor’s team seconded to FMOH; State Minister/MCH directorate by FGAE to provide strategic, technical and programmatic support to FMOH, State Minister Program wing & MCH Directorate in areas of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services and Rights (SRHR) including Family planning and CAC,STI/HIV,Adolescent and Youth Sexual Health ,cervical cancer screening and management S/he will coordinates and works collaboratively with the FGAE work units and teams, functional units within FMoH, Regional Health Bureaus (RHBs) and other relevant partners in enhancing Comprehensive, integrated ,Gender Responsive, Quality Sexual and Reproductive Sexual Health (SRH) services . Moreover, the advisor provides high-level technical assistance, including clinical expertise to the MCH director, FP team leader, staffs and other relevant directorates and agencies of FMoH as it relates to Comprehensive, Integrated, Gender Responsive and Quality SRH services. S/he will work with relevant team of professionals to develop/update SRH related policy/strategy/guidelines, SOPs, tailored SRH Job aids and radio and TV spot messages and ensure proper implementation. S/He will provide capacity building trainings; follow up of trainings, mentoring/coaching to maternal health experts and service providers/he also support in organizing, conducting and facilitation of SRH related performance review meetings and quality assessment Supportive Supervisions. Work as a liaison on visibility of FGAE through Representation at National TWGs & Networking, at FMOH, to contribute to the input of the Association to the development of the national Health policies, guidelines and standards and in the process enhance the visibility of the association. Monitor SRH developments Globally and in the country with a view of providing expertise support to adopt by FMOH MCH directorate and guiding FGAE in aligning service provision with current realities and countries priorities.

Job Requirements

Educational Background: MD/MD+MPH/BSC+MPH

Work experience: 8 years’ experience after Medical degree, 5 years’ experience after MD+MPH and 7 years’ experience after BSC+MPH in clinical service delivery, mentoring, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of maternal health/SRH programmes in Ethiopia.
