Job Description

Cheshire Services Ethiopia CHESAE Income Generating is the Income Generating wing of Cheshire Ethiopia which is an Ethiopian Resident Charity engaged in rehabilitation of Persons with Disability since 1962, and herewith invites interested candidates who meet the following requirement to apply for the job position. 

Job Summary:  

Under the supervision of the Executive director he/she is responsible for overseeing the planning, organizing, leading, controlling and communicating the  operation and growth of the Income Generating unit of the Cheshire Ethiopia effectively and efficiently

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the overall IGAs of CE.
  • Proactively participates in baseline and end line data collection for IGA interventions.
  • Assists CE Centers involved in IGAs identify and develop market links for their products.
  • Harmonizes the implementation of IGA activities within the intervention areas and ensuring good collaboration and networking with other partners operating in the production of similar products or services
  • Supervises activities of the Physical Rehabilitation Centre and the Lease Administration
  • Establishes and maintains a good rapport with project beneficiaries, as well as local government officials, community leaders and relevant local organizations;
  • Develop and share monthly, quarterly and half yearly progress/monitoring reports to the Center Managers and the Executive Director
  • Take active part in the planning, implementation, review and reporting process
  • Comply with the Organization Child protection Policy, Gender policy, Statement of Commitment to child protection and adherence to Ethiopian laws and that of our partner
  • Maintain and promote good image of the organization with its associates, including donors, clients, partners and Federal and local government authorities
  • Expected to give guidance on Prosthetic and Orthotics workshops of CE whenever the need arises.
  • Check the lease building for its maintenance and that unoccupied floors are leased on time.
  • Performs other similar duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management or Business Administration or Marketing and 6years relevant work experience.
