General Duties and Responsibilities

In general, FLDAs’ are expected to deliver BDS advisory and coaching services. They are supposed to undertake business intake assessments, plan based on the assessment gap for improvement, and provide training, coaching, and advisory services as appropriate. 

Job Requirements

FLBDA’s are part-time advisers and are expected to be avail for two weeks in a month 

Required qualification, skill, knowledge and competencies

a)    General

1. BA degree in business-related and further training in related field is a plus
2. Previous Solid experience working as a business development services (BDS) advisor, coach, mentor, and training in a related area
3. Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of small business operations.
4. Knowledge of basic business accounting.
5. Passionate to support the community
6. Have problem-solving skills
7. Have outstanding communication skills, Strong interpersonal skills the ability to work effectively
8. Excellent interpersonal skills toward efficiently communicating clients’ business processes and procedures.
9. Being DOT’s former intern as Plus
10. Knowledge of local area language for each respective region is a plus.
11. Data management skill
12. Basic ICT skill
13. Report writing skill

b)    Specific

·      As the advisors are expected to closely work and support micro and small startup businesses; having the knowledge and skill in basic principles of business management is mandatory.

·      In addition, willingness to take the online Improve Your Business (IYB) of the ILO material to guide their support in terms of helping the Micro & Small Business Startup entrepreneurs to prepare the right plan in boosting their business performance will be a pre-request for final selection. Furthermore; the FLBDAs’ are expected to be willing and avail for Business Model Canvas & other BDS related trainings after the selection process is finalized.

·      Facilitation and coaching skills are also the key skill set that the FLDA expected to have.
