Alema Koudijs Feed PLC is based in Debre Zeit and is Ethiopia’s major producer of concentrated animal feed. We produce high quality animal feed for poultry, dairy, beef etc. Our product ensures a high productivity and profitability for farmers.

We are looking for an IT Manager & his/her responsibility is monitoring and maintaining the company computer systems, installs and configures hardware and software, and solves technical problems. Will assist employees who are experiencing any procedural or operating difficulty with the use of IT applications, products or services. See below job description and requirements.

Job description:

• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically
• Give remote support to users. (telephone, any Desk or TeamViewer)
• Identify & learn fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other equipment
• Manager, diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
• Manage & Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve issues,
• Assures system and power stability and security
• Analyses problems and implement solutions according to relevant procedures
• Provide accurate information on IT products or services
• Demonstrate good social skills in a professional environment.
• Support Managers and configuring computer systems, diagnosing --hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.
• Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
• monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
• talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
• troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults replace parts as required.
• provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
• follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
• support the roll-out of new applications
• set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
• respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
• work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
• priorities and manage many open cases at one time
• rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers
• Manage & test and evaluate new technology
• Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
• Regularly report to Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Masters Or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information
• Minimum 4 Year for Masters Degree & 7 years experience for Bachelor Degree in information technology and ICT related field of job.
• System, Software Engineering or any other equivalent field.
• Speaking and writing proper English and Amharic.
• Adequate knowledge on Computers and Programming languages.
• The IT Manager should have a pro-active attitude, polite and persuasive
• Able and work extra hours when ever required.
