Purpose:

• Control room operator will work under the line management of corporate control room supervisor to ensure the smooth and effective day to day running of the control room function. Likewise keep the control room supervisor /CS manager informed incidents, and to ensure the agreed level of service and contractual requirements.

Main Areas Of Responsibility:

• Support in conducting security risk management processes of all three entities thereafter devise mitigation measures and ensure successful implementations of such measures.
• Provide emergency response, crisis management and business continuity support to ensure JTI Tanzania is prepared to manage both natural and man-made disasters.
• Coordinate guard force management for all three JTI entities and manage outsourced CCTV operators to ensure smooth business operations.
• Support in the periodic security audits and self-assessment of business operations and investigations of alleged or suspected violations of company policies and procedures.
• Adherence to health and safety standards at the workplace by identifying hazards and share good health and safety practices to employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Maintain security infrastructure inclusive of security database and ensure employees, contractors and visitors are correctly captured on the security database.
• Support on security projects and ensure security budget is appropriately utilized and prepare PR in accordance to service to be delivered.
• Develop security training materials for employees/ contractors/ visitors and conduct awareness session/induction on security issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor CCTV Equipment with high integrity and efficiency: this includes CCTV Cameras, telephone line, deleting or archiving footages as needed, organizing old footages in an orderly fashion.
• Maintain control room equipment including computers, TV monitors, telephone, radios, tables, chairs, and any other equipment inside the control room.
• Proper storage of CCTV footage and correctly catalog of all footages for easily recall later time.
• Conduct daily CCTV surveillance and reviews as they are being recorded.
• To maintain a key element of the Control Room function by utilizing the technology available to ensure that as far as possible the building remains secure, and any suspicious activity is noted and communicated in line with standard operating procedures
• Oversee alarm monitoring system include identifying, response and acknowledging alarms. To ensure that all critical alarms are actioned in a timely manner
• To ensure integrity of the security systems is maintained.
• To assist in preventing unauthorized access/egress through surveillance.
• To ensure that the removal of goods procedures are always maintained.
• To conduct a patrol of the premises using CCTV internally noting results in the Daily occurrence log.
• Send daily control room system’s functionality reports while on duty to Security Supervisor and CS Manager.
• To comply with data protection guidelines regarding disclosure of personal and confidential information held on the security databases.
• Corporate with law enforcement agencies regarding CCTV evidence presentations and clarifications upon approved permission.
• To ensure that all incidents, which occur during duties, are reported promptly to Security Supervisor or Corporate Security Manager and recorded within the guidelines laid and efficiently dealt with.
• To assist and monitor the Security Team to respond to incidents.
• Ensure full compliance with site policies and procedures
• Perform any other duty as directed/assigned by the Security Supervisor and the Corporate Security Manager.

Job Requirements

Education:

• At least 10th Grade Completed

Work Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in the security industry.
• At least 1 years’ experience as guard force.

Knowledge:

• Formal education in any profession.
• Ability to work under own initiatives and also as member of the team
• Ability to effectively communicate in English both written and oral
• Surveillance system knowledge
• Knowledge on incident management ,response and reporting
• Excellent time management
• The ability to make effective and timely decision.
• The ability to work under any threat scenario like riot, unrest and etc.
