Job Description
Position: Human Resources and Organizational Development (HROD) Coordinator
Reports to: Head of HROD
Type of Contract: Contract
Required Number: One
Duty Base: Addis Ababa
Key Responsibilities
Providing professional and effective HR services (employee life cycle aspects) for managers and staff. Manages HR functions like recruitment, induction, performance management, HR data base and others. Supports in all interventions aimed at team development; participates in proposal development process; Coordinate learning and development, staff performance management, and team building; Coordinate SHEA and safeguarding activities
Facilitates and manages recruitment and selection process
Maintains employee records and database.
Assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resource functions and duties
Completes monthly and year-end reports regarding recruitment, terminations, transfers, and new hires.
Completes miscellaneous research, reports, and memos as requested.
Coordinate on staff training and development programmes based on both the organization’s and the individual's needs and coordinates the delivery of training and development programmes
Analysis, review and evaluates training and learning interventions
Coordinates induction programs provide induction on the area of HR Lead staff induction and onboarding process as per AAE’s staff onboarding and induction guideline and support line managers on the same.
Coordinates the organization’s performance management program, including periodic reminders to management team, prepares reports on performance appraisal status and quality
Coordinates exit interviews with employees leaving the company and distribute the exit interview to the concerned bodies
Facilitates and works on the development and maintenance of sound Human Resource Information System,
Participates in the annual and strategic plan and budgeting processes for HR and Organizational Development programs and functions; Provide close support to programme team across the organization in HR administration and management process,
Closely work with the procurement and logistic officers on procurement planning and process efficiency
Ensure HR policy compliance and best practices mainly in staff leave management, and employee Cycle.
Implements cost reduction strategies and value for money initiates within the role.
Job Requirements
The successful candidates must possess a minimum of bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant fields, with a minimum of four years proven experience. MA in relevant field of study is preferred
The ability to plan and prioritize tasks; manage workload to meet deadlines and to work on own initiative.
Ability to identify best practices in HR management, proper documentation and sharing, good knowledge of HRIS, excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, negotiation skills, knowledge of new and emerging issues in HROD, knowledge of local labor laws and other related proclamations
