Job Summary
Banquet Outlet Manager is responsible to oversee the hosting of banquets to provide customers with an excellent banquet experience. Consulting with GC&E sales team and Kitchen team, determining the number of wait staff, and planning the layout and setup of venues. Besides required to manage beverage requests and proper handling of the banquet function areas and equipment
Specifically Banquet Outlet Manager , is responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Manages customer relationship through responding to customer inquiries, as well as organizing arrangements as they relate to social and corporate events ie: set-up and execution of social and corporate meetings, meals and special events,
Provides direction and supervision of meeting and/or catering logistics to catering and event services and other departments and team members responsible for event execution,
Planning the venue layout according to the number of guests and the type of event,
Determining the number of table waiters and servers required,
Supervising the placement of tables, chairs, cutlery, plates, glasses, table linens, centerpieces, heating lamps, serving utensils, and carving stations,
Consulting with the Head Chef regarding the timing of meal courses to be served,
Overseeing guest sits, the serving of meals and beverages, and the clearing of tables,
Managing the availability of liquor and soft drinks, when required,
Preparing work schedules and completing documentation in a timely manner,
Answering customers' questions and accommodating special requests.
Job Requirements
Associate Degree/ Diploma in Food & Beverage Service Supervision, Catering or related fields of study,
Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Food & Beverage Service Supervision, Catering and culinary arts preferred,
Minimum 5 years’ Experience in a similar role with a proven track record
Active personality with Excellent interpersonal communication skill
Knowledge of local market & hospitality
Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate effectively
Advanced Experience in supervising banquet venue staff
Strong leadership skills, with Excellent organizational, and planning skills evident in effectively manage and motivate a team to perform beyond expectations
Very Good articulation, and skill in English language
