Key Roles/Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy of customer names and the collected amount are accurate, balance the cash register, and generate reports for credit and debit sales. )
• Collect fees on cash or cheque against an official receipt.
• Disburses authorized payment upon verification of beneficiaries identified and due signature.
• Withdraws funds for wages and salary disbursements, operational expenses, petty cash, etc. when duly authorized.
• Prepare pay slips and pays salaries according to the supervisor’s instruction.
• Deposits collected fees in the school’s bank accounts against an official receipt
• Prepares petty cash and cheque payments supported by official receipts.
• Keeps cash registers and other appropriate documents reconcile cash balance with records and notify the head of finance about overage and shortage incurred in good time.
• Handles safe keys, and maintains appropriate records, and documents of cash transactions with care.
• Assisting the accountant in processing national staff medical every week
• Processing separate school educational trip schedules for easy follow-up and reconciling the same with Quick book ledger.
• Communicate with parents to inform the quarterly school fees and other collections such as trips in collaboration with the working unit.

Technical Skill

• Well-organized and able to act in a professional and ethical manner
• Good skills in computer applications

Job Requirement  

Qualification:

Education: 

• BA/diploma (COC certified) in accounting and finance related field.

Experience:

• 2/4 years of experience.
• Quick book training /certificate
• Fluency in English and Amharic
• Knowledge of Ms-word and Excel
