Premier Switch Solutions S.C. (PSS) is a pioneer Electronic Payment Processing Company, established by major private banks of Ethiopia and working for the vision of Driving Digital Solutions for all. The Company has implemented the first multi-institution shared-switch infrastructure to provide its member banks with a state of the art payment technology to drive ATM, POS, e-commerce, Mobile Banking and other payment channels and provide clearing of Debit/Credit card transactions for the banks. 

Currently, PSS has a vacant position stated below and would like to invite applicants who meet the qualification and required experience listed for this job opening.  

Description of Duties

• Formulate and implement the strategic direction of the IT infrastructure and data center administration.

• Develop and maintain the Enterprise IT infrastructure Architecture.

• Develop policies and procedures for IT infrastructure administration and data center and lead in their implementation through the continuous review.

• Oversee the design, setup, installation and integration of various systems environment, or process designs for IT infrastructure and data center, any outsourced technology and business process solutions to meet the business’ requirements as per PCI DSS and other relevant security standards.

• Ensure high system availability and best performance to meet the customer expectation.

• Manage vendor relationship and monitor all IT infrastructure and data center activities.

• Ensure the successful delivery of IT infrastructure and other projects.

• Ensure periodic IT infrastructure performance metrics are conducted.

• Design system capacity planning and build business continuity.

• Lead maintenance, upgrade and migration of IT infrastructure and data center.

• Design, configure, optimize, monitor and maintain all the organizational, WANs, VPN, telecommunication services, Internet Service Providers and in doing so providing an effective, reliable and secure communications infrastructure that follows industry best practice to underpin all corporate computer systems;

• Ensure high availability, confidentiality, integrity and reliability of the IT infrastructure data center and disaster recovery site;

• Oversee the provision of an effective and responsive support services to users within established SLAs;

• Work with the relevant departments in the development of new products and services.

• Research new IT infrastructure and data center technologies and work with the relevant work units in the development of new products and services.

• Manage incidents timely.

• Prepare budget for the department

• Support the Chief Information Officer in the implementation of the corporate strategy.

• Provide training, coaching and mentoring of employees within the department towards effective career development.

• Prepare periodic reports

Job Requirements

Qualification & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical engineering, ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

• At least 8 years’ experience, 3 of which should have been in managerial role

• Training in Cisco CCNA Data Center, CCNA Security, CCNP or equivalent

• Experience in managing and administering ICT systems, infrastructure and data center management.

• Experience in network design and implementation, Security, Internet protocol, servers and network infrastructure

• Relevant certifications are advantageous
