Premier Switch Solutions S.C. (PSS) is a pioneer Electronic Payment Processing Company, established by major private banks of Ethiopia and working for the vision of Driving Digital Solutions for all. The Company has implemented the first multi-institution shared-switch infrastructure to provide its member banks with a state of the art payment technology to drive ATM, POS, e-commerce, Mobile Banking and other payment channels and provide clearing of Debit/Credit card transactions for the banks.
Currently, PSS has a vacant position stated below and would like to invite applicants who meet the qualification and required experience listed for this job opening.
Description of Duties
Formulate and implement the strategic direction of the operation department.
Develop policies and procedures for the operation and lead in their implementation through the continuous review.
Develop, review and implement the system rule in collaboration with relevant work units.
Oversee the design and setup of work processes for card personalization and transaction settlement to meet the customers demand and are compliant with NBE directives, PCI DSS and other relevant standards.
Ensure the provision of card personalization and delivery, clearing & settlement, dispute of transactions to meet the customer expectation as per defined SLA.
Ensure the proper function of the card personalization & PIN printing machine and the card personalization solution for timely delivery of cards & PINs
Ensure holding the stock of relevant card perso machine spare parts and the reorder level.
Follow up on transaction disputes, frauds and pending fund settlements due to various reasons for resolution timely.
Ensure transactions reconciliations are made periodically for local and international transactions.
Advise member banks on operational policy and procedure issues that need to be reviewed, newly developed and introduced policies.
Ensure the card perso machines and card perso solutions logs, backup, archiving and retention are properly maintained regularly.
Manage vendor relationship and monitor all support activities.
Ensure the successful delivery of product and services and other projects.
Ensure periodic operation performance metrics are conducted.
Design operation capacity planning and build business continuity.
Lead maintenance, upgrade and migration of systems and machines.
Manage and continually improve the operations activity ensuring customers’ needs are satisfactorily met.
Work with the relevant work units in the research and development of new products, services and technologies.
Prepare budget for the department
Support the Chief Technology and Operations Officer in the implementation of the corporate strategy.
Provide training, coaching and mentoring of employees within the department towards effective career development.
Build knowledge base from lessons learned.
Manage incidents timely.
Prepare periodic reports
Qualification & Work Experience
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management, MIS or related fields and eight years’ relevant experience three of which should be in a managerial position.
Experience in the area of digital payment operation.
Experience in managing relationships with different players in the financial services industry
Relevant certifications are advantageous.
