Company Profile

• Crown Packaging and Plastics PLC is an ambitious company that produces thermoformed plastic cups and sell for diary and beverage packaging for the Ethiopian market. The company is founded and managed by an international team (Dutch and Ethiopian) and works according to international standards. For that purpose the company works with high quality machines, tools, spare parts and raw materials that are mainly imported from Western Europe. The factory and main office are currently located in Debre-zeit /Bishoftu/.

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Make good planning of the raw materials, stock consumption and order/purchase materials on time.

• Ensure and process the foreign and local purchases according to the principals.

• Check regularly the warehouse and stock and maintain assets inventory.

• Ensure that all Procurement and Logistic documents are properly prepared and filed accordingly

• Follow up with a bank for foreign currency allocation as per demand from the factory, maintain a good relationship with all banks International departments, and follow up on LC opening, amendment as required, timely shipment and container allocation.

• Manage all local purchases, store and warehousing management and control all property of the company.

• Provide all insurance on shipments and design and execute all corrective action plans for processes.

• Ensure correct and complete documentation for import cargo as per the requirement of various institutions like bank and customs.

• Take responsibility for the drivers, External affairs employee and store keepers.

Job Requirements

Qualification

• 3- 5 years direct work experience preferably in Manufacturing Industry

• Experience working with Ethiopian Single Window system

• Flexibility in working hours and availability for emergency call.

• The ability to lead a team 

• Good understanding of English language both written and spoken

• Well aware of different communication methods

• The will to learn new things and take responsibilities.

• The will to work according to international standards and quality

• The will to (start to) live in Debre-Zeit/ Bishoftu/ or its surrounding  

Education Level

• B.A. degree in Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Procurement, Business Administration or equivalent field of studies

Experience

• 3 - 5 years in Manufacturing Industry
