Job Description
Florensis Ethiopia PLC is a multinational garden plant cuttings producing and exporting company that manages around 700 workers throughout the year and hundreds of additional seasonal workers in high production season. The company is situated at Oromia Region, Eastern Shoa Zone: Lume Wereda Koka Town.
The Company would like to invite the competent and qualified applicant for the following position.
Purpose of the Job:
Support the department by planning, coordinating agronomy activities and follow up of implementation.
Keeping crops overall health
Typical Responsibilities and Key end Results of the Position:
Develop standard operational procedures (SOP) for all activities on the farm.
Play leadership role in getting work done through people.
Production data registration, Analysis and reporting.
Assigning work to the employees, monitoring for best result, and taking corrective actions upon deviation from the standard.
Check and analyze scouting reports.
Choose chemicals and organizing the schedule for spray.
Manage and control target accomplishment according to the plan
Check fulfillment of personnel protective equipment before start of the work.
Check irrigation EC and pH reports in the greenhouse and analyze the result.
Set-up field trials.
Give trainings based on specific skill gap identified.
Check overall climate in the greenhouse.
Support and follow up of each activity of the employees.
Discuss and solve problems with employees and follow up.
Evaluate workers based on their performance.
Work in Cooperating with the teams.
Responsible and put in place Green trust regulation and code of practice.
Report critical issues of the department to immediate supervisor.
Performs other related duties as may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, Behaviours, and Experience Required to Achieve Role’s Objectives:
Educational Background
BSC Degree in horticulture, Agronomy, Plant science or related field with 3 years’ relevant work experience.
At least Two years’ experience should be in horticultural sector.
Skills Specific to the Post
Process Improvement, Analyzing Information, Verbal Communication, Influencing Others, Emphasizing Excellence, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness.
Strong negotiating skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Proficient in computer skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; in English , Amharic and other.
Strong people management /Leadership skill.
