 Background

Positive action for Development (PAD) is an Ethiopian resident’s charity organization. The organization was legally registered at Federal level by Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Charities and Societies agency on June 6/2011 with a registration number 2330. The organization has also been re-registered and accorded legal personality with registry number 2330 on May 22, 2019 as Local Organization in accordance with the civil society Organization proclamation No. 1113/2019. PAD would like to hire qualified professional for the following position.

Duties and responsibilities

• Read and analyze solicitation, proposal documents, and develop proposals

• Work with the technical lead and other team members to understand proposal planning

• Conduct meetings and identify opportunities

• Develop technical solutions in design meetings

• Draft accurate, responsive, compelling text for proposals, including background/context, executive summary, technical approach overview, activity components, and technical annexes

• Work with the proposal team and designers to develop visually compelling graphics

• Collaborate with the team to improve and streamline the proposal development process

• Support the development and maintenance of the proposal content library including capability statements, research papers, past performances, management plans, and other related proposal content

Employment type:  On contractual base with negotiable and flexible employment arrangement

Job Requirements

Qualification:

• MA degree in Development, Sociology, Management, Economics, Development science, public health with minor in English language or BA/MA in English, Journalism with Back ground in relevant social science discipline 

Experience:

• 3-5 years of proposal writing or grant writing experience

• A proven experience by proposal wins rate and donor amount

• A proven ability to multitask, flexible and responsive to prioritizing responsibilities

• Proven experience conducting in-depth interviews with subject matter specialists or groups (in a business arrangement) and converting information into meaningful proposals

• Ability in gathering information

• Strong working knowledge of MS Office programs

• Strong grip over the English language

• Team player and aware of different cultures to work in an international setting

• Demonstrated familiarity with various donner templets and specific requirement
