Job Description

Rorank Business S.C. is subsidiary of a UK base company called Castleford Investment Holdings Limited. We manufacture and distribute our flagship brands, Super Eagle and Crystal that are renowned for their great taste and quality.  Our new leading edge manufacturing and bottling facility is located in Cha Cha. 

  Duties and Responsibilities

HR Information System

  • Use HR system to input, update and keep track of employee information, benefits, employment status, and similar records for certain grades.

  • Biographical and organizational data for new employees captured as per Employee Data Capture form

  • Employee data accurately maintained in HR system by capturing employee status changes daily, as per Status Change forms

  • Assist employees with processing leave applications in the HR system ESS  

Record Maintenance

  • Manage staffs personal files & manage all staffs pension related documentation & follow ups with the respective authority office.

  • Handle HR correspondences (internal/external): drafts and types letters for internal and external correspondences.

  • New employee files prepared

  • Documents filed in employee personal files daily

  • Records relating to grievances, performance reviews and disciplinary actions maintained

  • File audits performed to ensure all required employee documentation is collected and maintained

  • Correspondences and record of communications maintained

  • Processing new starters, leavers, and contractual changes

Time attendance data administered and tracked

  • Approved overtime requests received, adjustments made as required and overtime processed

  • Overtime reports prepared monthly

  • Monitor staff attendance and ensure that all staff timesheets are updated.

  • Monitor absence data in line with policy and escalate appropriately

Recruitment/New Hire Process

  • Support in processing recruitment requests

  • Assist with organizing resumes and job applications and communicating with interview candidates and scheduling for tests and interviews

  • Background and reference checks conducted as requested

  • Pension and insurance registration, cost sharing follow ups and other statutory registration completed as required.

General HR Assistance

  • Support the daily operations of HR team.

  • Investigate complaints brought forward by employees.

  • Employee queries and complaints dealt with or referred to appropriate responsible person

  • Assistance provided with employee discipline and grievance issues

  • HR Policies and procedures applied and complied with in all dealings with employee matters

  • Responsible for timely release of the office supplies and replenishment.

  • Ensure tea and coffee service to staff are of expected standard and timely, keep and track services provided by coffee attendants.

  • Keep always information of HR department confidential.

  • Regularly implement the directives, regulations and notices issued by the organization

Job Requirements

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION      

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or business discipline

TRAINING

·         Required to have proficiency in Excel (Advanced) and Word as well as relevant HR Information Systems

EXPERIENCE

·         2 years’ experience in an HR administration role

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Employee relations & engagement

  • HR Systems, service & tools delivery

  • Working knowledge of Ethiopian Employment Law & understanding of relevant policies and procedures in doing work.

  • Good understanding of HR functions and best practices.

  • Ability to use basic word, excel, e-mail and internet.

  • Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
