Washington Medical Center (WMC) is a specialized Secondary healthcare facility managed and staffed by Ethiopian, American, and other foreign doctors who are committed to providing expert, high quality, and affordable medical services to all Ethiopians, residents, and visitors of Ethiopia, including International Organizations, Embassies, Business Firms, and Insurance Companies.
WMC has been established under Washington Healthcare PLC, which by itself is a subsidiary of Washington Healthcare LLC incorporated in Washington D.C. (USA). WMC is certified by the New Ethiopian Government Standard Authority Health Facility Minimum Standard Requirement (Ethiopian Standard ES 36192012) for specialty medical centers and is licensed to operate accordingly.
Washington Medical Center (WMC) is looking for a resourceful Business Development Manager to expand its business and improve its branding initiatives. As a Business Development Manager, your duties will include establishing networks with industry specialists, maintaining valued customer relationships, and negotiating deals. To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate extensive experience in business development strategies and marketing preferably working in the health industry. You are expected to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities.
Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
Collaborating with company executives to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business opportunities planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
Developing and sustaining solid relationships with the company stakeholders and customers.
Analyzing customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services.
Identifying and developing new lines of business based on consumer behavior.
Performing competitor analysis toward obtaining an increased market share.
Training and guiding business development staff.
Providing insight into product development and competitive positioning.
Analyzing financial data and developing effective strategies to reduce business costs and increase company profits.
Approving work hours, Meeting deadlines.
Making sure that employees’ report should meet performance expectations
Ensuring that the work environment is safe, secure and healthy
Required Education and Skills:
MA, MBA or Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, and in Health Sciences
For MA/MBA 10 year and for BA 12 year experience in business development, sales, marketing or related fields
Experience in the health industry is advantageous
Strong communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent in English proficiency.
Ability to flourish without guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
