Job purpose:
The GBV Information Officer is responsible to plan, compile reports and communicate with donors. she/he will be responsible to participate on assessments. the GBV IM officer will support to the development of IM capacity within the GBV AOR, in line with the GBV AoR strategy. he/she will be working closely with the needs assessment and analysis officer, participate in all relevant GBV-related data initiatives and provide direct technical support to GBV colleagues in the field in collecting, analyzing, sharing, disseminating and using GBV-related data. He/she will function as the technical backstop and develop the methodology related to GBV IM.
Major activities
The Program Officer is responsible for all aspects of project implementation, including the preparation, planning, organization, coordination and relations with members of the protection sector and local and international partners, and the documentation for all the steps to implement the project. He/she will participate in all relevant GBV-related data initiatives and provide direct technical support to GBV colleagues in the field in collecting, analyzing, sharing, disseminating and using GBV-related data. He/she will function as the technical backstop and develop the methodology related to GBV IM.
Required Professional Experience
BA in public health, social work, social science or other related degree
at least 2 years relevant experience in project planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation
Knowledge and experience on humanitarian response programming is an asset
good knowledge of donor grants and contract regulations
demonstrated flexibility and creativity in planning and problem solving
report writing skill
