Job Description
Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a National Civil Society Organization (CSO) aspires to see all marginalized children properly fostered. The organization has four major program areas; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development; Skills and Entrepreneurship Development and Lobby & advocacy. DEC works in four National Regional States of Amhara, Afar and Oromia, Gambela , Benishangoul Gumuz and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit on the following position:
DEC needs to deploy a competent applicant who has proven experience and better understanding of development programs, emergency responses; resource mobilization and project cycle management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop Project Planning , maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.
Provide technical assistance to project implementation to faster continuous improvement in quality in both in programmatic and operational performance.
Create a good and collaborative work atmosphere with the Program Coordinator and Grass root community
Participate in resource mobilization action ,by writing and contributing for proposal
Mobilizes resources, communities , initiates and implements projects, and ensures achievements to attain the organization's mission and objectives.
Deploy and implement innovative tools and methodologies for their project
Ensures, and Supports that the program/ project strategic objectives and results are fully achieved and meet expected technical quality standards..
Communicate and cooperates with relevant stakeholders to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
Responsible for maintaining crucial project documents that track project progress.
Closely watch the project schedule, monitoring deadlines for each project task.
Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings, documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
Manage, control, and coordinate project schedule & implementation to make sure the project to be completed on time.
Monitor and track project progress and handle any issues that arise and report on the progress of a project to all concerned stakeholders.
Prepare/update project status reports, process invoices, update tracking reports, and maintain files for due diligence and financials.
Participate and accomplish all other additional duties given by supervisors

Qualifications Required
Education
BA/BSc/ Social Science, Education, Sociology, social work, Psychology, Development studies, project Management, and related fields.
Experience
At least four years related and proven experience in NGO sector
Skills
Proven experience in writing reports, communications and compiling necessary data
Good knowledge and skill of project cycle management
Ability to work in the hard to reach areas
Ability to use computer and mobile apps
