We are pleased to announce the following vacancy within the Technology Division – Ethiopia.   In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Brief Description

Reporting to the Quality Engineering Lead, the position holder will responsible for standardizing the quality engineering practice across all business units, responsible for defining and driving the software quality strategy and roadmap in non-functional testing within all business units, responsible for providing direction to the Performance Test engineers and to ensure the activities of the team are aligned with all stakeholders, responsible for setting up quality gates and criteria for all performance testing activities within IT Delivery, responsible for giving technical leadership in performance engineering and architecture optimization.

• Responsible for 100% test coverage on non function requirements (performance, security, compatibility);

• Responsible for defing the acceptance criteria and ensuring adherance;

• Good knowledge and experience of performance / stress testing;

• Experience of setting up performance test tools and working with the vendor to ensure they are setup to support the simulation of tens of thousands of concurrent users;

• Experience of triaging performance bottlenecks by understanding the right questions to ask SMEs from teams such as networks, database administration etc;

• A detailed understanding of the KPIs defined by the Enterprise Architecture Team and Business that will be used to measure and calibrate performance in test and production;

• Demonstrate outstanding flexibility and leadership with communication of performance test result interpretation and explanation to both IT and Business Users.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Development or related subject;

• Must have ISTQB Certification (Test Manager certification, Advanced test automation certification or performance testing certification),

• 5 years + experience in software testing in a busy IT environment,

• Strong understanding of the software Testing Life cycle,

• Experience in managing large test teams

• Ability to effectively manage competing resources and priorities

• Strong risk identification and mitigation planning skills.

• Experience in performance engineering and tools such as JMeter, Locust.io, HP Load runner
