MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role of the Country Commercial Manager, Horn of Africa will be to:
Co-own and actively support the coordination, setting up timelines and deliverables of the region and individual countries.
Inspire and lead internal and external sales and brand development teams to deliver brilliant execution of sales and brand activation within a defined geographic area.
Lead collaborative work with customers, 3rd party agents, and other stakeholders to create a competitive advantage and maximize the ROI of trade investment.
Develop the collective and individual capability of the team now and in the future.
Ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of sales personnel and financial resources.
Responsible for short-long term market budget setting, planning, implementing, and reporting.
Driving business profit delivery for East Africa in the assigned region
Managing the supply chain by ensuring constant and adequate stock levels in all markets and distributors in collaboration with the East Africa supply team
Managing and coaching direct and indirect practices on best practice sales techniques
Understanding and executing the PR pricing strategy for each brand for the purpose of optimal revenue management.
Leading and approving joint business plans with key accounts and customers in all channels
Managing expense centres within the P&L; marketing budgets, structure costs
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
10 years of marketing/commercial experience
Past experience in business development, emerging markets and FMCG is an added advantage
English speaking, with excellent written command. French speaking is beneficial.

Desired Competencies:
The successful applicant should ideally be a self-motivated Commercial Manager with solid leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a drive to exceed expectations. It is also important that you have excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills as well as the ability to establish rapport with both new and existing clients.
