Job Description
Our client, in the manufacturing of construction materials, is looking to hire a Factory/Production Manager. If you have experience in manufacturing plant management, commissioning a factory and training staff and are looking to join a diverse team then this job is for you.
Key Accountabilities
Lead factory production lead operators with maximum efficiency, production and service
Train and supervise factory production operators
Ensure that the team understand the company’s operations and activities
Quality control of the production process
Manage, direct and monitor activities of the production team
Communicate with upper management on daily production issues
Utilize appropriate systems to manage production, function, analysis and documentation according to standard operating
Provide daily status of production to management
Review production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information.
Coordinate with Supply Chain Supervisor to ensure seamless production
Report factory metrics to Management on a daily basis
Job Requirements
Qualifications
4 year Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred
5+ years of experience leading in the manufacturing industry
Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards (including setting up, maintenance, and design)
Ability to train factory staff for new processes and provide instructions and manuals
Fluent in Amharic, English, and Oromiffa
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Experience managing process documentation and preparing production reports.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
A resident of Adama or willing to relocate
Desirable Skills
Designs and implements processes that efficiently make products
Has troubleshooting expertise and attention to detail.
Eliminate wastefulness in production processes and make sure systems make the best-integrated use of workers, machines, materials, information, and energy.
Critical thinker and has problem-solving skills.
