About Awash

Wine making has been a part of the Ethiopian culture for more than a millennium, dating back to the Axumite era. Although this traditional method has survived all that time, the methods, quality, and variety stayed the same. In 1943 G.C (1936 Ethiopian Calendar), a Greek family started the first winery in Ethiopia around followed by an Italian family who established their winery at Mekanisa. The two ventures were nationalized in 1973 and regrouped in one entity that was named Awash Wine. Since that time, we have grown to be one of the country’s most loved brands-a market leaders that is interwoven with the cultural fabric of the county.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to incoming communications (including complaints) to Managing Director’s office including phone calls, emails, and walk-ins, ensuring correct department distribution.

  • Communicating important updates and information to Head of departments

  • Manage the office environment and overseeing general maintenance of the office

  • Responsible for the preparation and timely submission of periodic reports to the Managing Director.

  • Responsible for organizing internal and external meetings on behalf of the Managing Director ensuring all necessary requirements are made e.g. meeting venue, equipment, presentations, prepare agendas

  • Provide executive and administrative support to Managing Director.

  • Give required assistance for meetings as and when required by the MD, including drafting and circulating meeting agendas, preparing minutes, communicating meeting reminders, confirming venues, and arranging refreshments. Writing and distributing comprehensive minutes and action points to all members post-meeting.

  • Drafting and writing high-quality reports and presentations, as required by the Managing Director.

  • Perform day-to-day tasks as required by the Managing Director.

Job Requirements

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND, EXPERIENCE

  •   BA/MA Business Administration or another related field

  •   At least 5 Years’ relevant Experience

  •   Good communication skills

  •   French language is preferably  

  •   Strong organizational and analytical skills
