Job Description

Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a National Civil Society Organization (CSO) aspires to see all marginalized children properly fostered. The organization has four major program areas; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development; Skills and Entrepreneurship Development and Lobby & advocacy. DEC works in five National Regional States of Amhara, Afar and Oromia, Gambela , Benishangoul Gumuz and Addis Ababa City Administration.

Roles and Responsibilities

• plan, organize and implement events including workshops, awareness-raising campaigns, and experience sharing opportunities;            

• Develops concept notes and/or fundable project proposals;

• Identifies funding sources, potential project/program partners and other stakeholders;

•  Ensure DEC safeguarding policies are implemented at all levels in its project site;

• Institutionalize and mainstream inclusion and gender equality; 

• Facilitating technical training and workshops related to project;

• Designing strategy to reach youths and girls in the society;

• Assure weather the project is well-Organized and runs smoothly;

• Develop quality and timely report;

• Organize and facilitate field visit and work with communities

Job Requirements

Educational Background and Experience

• At least MSc/MA in Social Work, Social Science, Health and other development fields

• At least 3 years direct CSO work experience.

Additional Skill

• Experience to work with grass root community

• Experience to work with women self-help group (WSHG), cluster level associations and farmer groups.

• Experience on lobby and advocacy works and system changes.

• Excellent communication skills both in local languages and in English
