Duties &Responsibilities:
Coordinate the implementation of all the CBHI project activities in the Awash Fentale woreda.
Ensure the project activities are implemented according to project objectives and results within the given time frame and in ways responsive to the target beneficiaries and local stakeholders in line with Health Limited/Health Poverty Action’s principles and values.
Ensure effective and efficient utilization of project budget and other resources for intended purpose; follow up on budget utilization and project expenditure as needed.
Identify critical issues in the implementation of project activities, inform the line manager and take the necessary actions to address problems and constraints
Initiate, lead and facilitate the project activity implementation as per the project agreement and timeline
Closely following up and coordinate with the line manager and focal point for the CBHI project in the target district
In collaboration with the line manager, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual project budget in relation the project.
Prepare and compile periodic plan, reports, and updates on the implementation of the project as per the requirements of HPA and the donor
Ensureintegration of activities of district/regional stakeholders and the project and strengthen collaboration
Conduct periodic documentation of experiences, lessons learned during the project implementation
Collect data, compile reports monthly and submit to the line manager
In collaboration with line manager and woreda/regional government stakeholders, maintain strong supervision and monitoring system to measure achievement and progress toward the project objectives and expected outcomes and impacts
Conduct periodic monitoring and supervision of the status of planned project activities implementationto improve the quality of the implementation of activities.
Strengthen participatory and collaborative supervision and monitoring system including active participation of beneficiaries and district authorities including Health and Administration Offices
Provide technical support to woreda health and administration office
Undertake other tasks as may be assigned by the line manager
Location: Awash 7/Awash Fentale Woreda
Employee Status: One year with possibility of extension based on performance & availability of resource
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience:
BSC in Public health or other related fields with 4 years’ experience
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation, and coaching
Experience in working with CBHI related programs, preferably in the region.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Afar
Capable of working in tight deadlines and under pressure
Computer literate
Willing to frequently travel to remote areas
Knowledge of the area and region where the post is located
