Dümmen Orange is an internationally leading breeding company focused on cut flowers, bulbs, tropical plants, pot plants, bedding plants and perennials firm with a significant presence in Ethiopia for long years.

Olij Breeding plc is part of Dümmen Orange, located in Debre zeit mainly with cut flowers propagation. Following growth and expansion we are currently looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to join our highly motivated team of professionals in the following position:

Job Summary/Main Purpose

Junior Accountant is a professional who provides support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. . The role includes following specifics:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

• Track and monitor accounts receivable

• Issue and prepare invoices

• Track and monitor accounts payable

• Perform reconciliations

• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements

• Adhere to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines

• Assist other departments such as HR and Marketing with reviewing of expenses

• Update financial data in a timely manner

• Ensure that information is accurate

• React in a timely manner if the information is not accurate

• Develop KPIs

• Measure KPIs and prepare reports

• Support senior accountant/ Finance Manager

• As needed, assist with other accounting projects

Job Requirements

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes)

• The candidates are required to have BA in Accounting and 2+ years relevant work experience as a Junior Accountant.

• Analytical mind

• Critical thinker

• Love for numbers

• Excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Excellent knowledge of  Peachtree accounting /quick book ,MS Office and Ms Word

• Additional qualifications are a big advantage
