What you’ll be doing

The Sales and Marketing Manager will be a member of G2G IT Group's Value Based Marketing Team, which is accountable for delivering 20 Million in Annual Revenue across the G2G IT Group's new and existing base customers. This role will lead a team focused on individuals focused on changing the Telecom Industry in Ethiopia.

In this role, you will proactively identify opportunities to drive growth and revenue, formulate ideas and carry them through execution and beyond to retrospective, post-offer analysis, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

  • Analyze performance across a variety of metrics, i.e. KPIs, LNP, Segmentation, Propensity, etc. to uncover new opportunities for growth and revenue.

  • Use broad industry perspective to interpret competitive information, draw intelligent conclusions, provide assessments at the strategic and tactical level, and formulate promo recommendations on proactive and/or reactive actions.

  • Leverage data to formulate a perspective and develop an integrated marketing strategy to lead pricing step up programs, churn mitigation programs, product lifecycle programs and/or upgrade programs based on the current business environment.

  • Work cross functionally with stakeholder in Sales, Operations, Marketing, IT, Operations, Finance to build and complete business cases and well as operational plans; Present strategy to key executives and directors within the organization and align resources and cross functional support to execute on the plan of record; integrate roadmap into the communication plan to show how each initiative is aligned to the business revenue targets and your critical area of focus.

  • Lead and develop team of direct reports with responsibilities in marketing, sales, business intelligence and database management.

  • Understand the consumer behavior within the industries and how competitive actions influence the marketing landscape and our ability to meet our objectives from growth & retention perspective.

  • Candidate must demonstrate creativity, outside the box thinking, and ability to solve business problems with limited directions (resourceful to get information from various sources, present key findings to leadership and provide holistic recommendations).

  • Utilize experience and business knowledge to develop annual marketing plans as well as guide strategy & execution of key marketing programs.

  • Work within CRM systems & tools to design and implement marketing programs for both inbound and outbound campaigns; Have a working knowledge of CRM processes from marketing and customer experience perspective.

  • Responsible for sales budget formulation and accountable to deliver results per Market Segment targets in coordination with Product, and Operations Groups.

  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis to provide appropriate direction to Product Management, Operations and Engineering teams and ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Build relationships with key stake holders and influencers within target End Customers.

  • Take ownership of, and drive strategic opportunities and appropriately represent C&D within the Market Segment in all sales situations.

  • Diligently maintain an updated Strategic Project List, and CRM to ensure full sales/quotation analytics capabilities.

  • Participate in global strategic and operations planning and budgeting process

  • Effectively implement decisions taken by overall Sales.

Job Requirements

You’ll need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience with strategic marketing planning and financial analysis.

  • Experience presenting ideas and content to a variety of stakeholders at various levels.

Even better if you have

  • Master’s degree, preferably an MBA in Marketing/Sales.

  • Experience gathering, organizing and analyzing large amounts of information.

  • Experience in marketing and finance-related roles, such as market research, financial analysis, product marketing, or strategic planning desired.

  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills with the ability to see things not readily apparent to others and to find unique solutions to complex challenges.

  • Ability to influence executive conversation on perspective or key decision.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly express complex ideas.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power Point.

  • Ability to take initiative, work with minimal supervision, and independently manage concurrent projects to timely completion.

  • Ability to think strategically and to "see the big picture".

  • Strong business acumen and ability to provide strong insights required to build business cases for offer approval.

  • Experience working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
