Purpose of the Job:

The purpose the Environmentalist is to ensure the prevalence of safe environmental management practice by ensuring the existence and implementation of the environment management system its compliance with Federal, regional, and local regulations related to hazardous material. Added to this he/she is responsible to maintain environmental management information systems to identify the location of hazardous sites, chemical inventories, and complaint investigations as well as developing and recommending solutions to eliminate/minimize pollution and environmental hazards.

 Job Brief

We are looking for a qualified environmentalist to join our dynamic team. He/she is responsible for performing field inspections, , preparing detailed reports, and analysing test samples. The environmentalist conducts field examinations and report hazardous locations and materials, maintains management information systems that identify the location of hazardous sites, chemical inventories, and complaint investigations and recommends solutions.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

BSc degree in environmental science or relevant field with a minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar role in FMCG manufacturing industries

Technical Skills Required

• Proven experience as environmentalist

• In depth knowledge of government legislation of environment protection

• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices in manufacturing industries

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
