Senior Health and safety Officer is responsible to ensure the overall improvement of working conditions, and the well-being of employees to contribute to improve in productivity. He/she is also responsible to ensure that highest standards for a conducive, safe and healthy working environment in place through implementing health and safety polices of the company.

 Job Brief

We are looking for a qualified Senior Health and Safety Officer who will ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated. He/she conducts regular risk assessments, and inspection for all work equipment, materials, and operations process etc. He/ she also ensures that all accidents /incidents are documented, investigated, and recommended proposals are implemented.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:    

BSc degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related fields with 4 years of demonstrated experience out of which 2 years is direct experience in FMCG manufacturing industries.

Technical Skills Required

• Proven experience as Health and Safety officer

• In depth knowledge of government legislation of OHS

• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices in manufacturing industries

• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety

• Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics

• Proficient in MS Office including knowledge of safety management information systems

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
