POSITION SUMMARY

A Project Administrator manages employee schedules, arranges assignments, prepares action plans, gathers necessary resources and communicates progress to team members, Hiring employees when necessary and make the workflow smooth with collaboration of the Project manager.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Determine and controlling needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations,

  • Prepare and organize  employee documentation

  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities

  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met

  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies

  • Hire necessary  staff and allocate responsibilities

  • Supervise the work of laborers, professionals etc. and give them guidance when needed

  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports

  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

  • Monitor project progress and address potential issues

  • Measure and report on project performance

  • Help the project manager in administrative duties and processed.

  • Act as point of contact for the project team and facilitate communications

  • Calculate project metrics, such as quality, costs, health, etc.

  • Control employee attendance and payments

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to project assistants

  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholder

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management (preferred) or any other relevant field.

  • Prior experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator or a similar role

  • Experience with technical documentation and schedules

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Problem-solving skills with a keen eye for details

  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills

  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Fluency in Writing and Speaking English Language; Fluency in Reading writing, speaking and Listing of Afaan Oromo is important.
