Job Description
Immediate Vacancy Announcement
Humedicae.V is German based International NGO registered in Ethiopia in February 2010 and re-registered on July 8, 2019 with registry No. 1605 as foreign Charity. Currently, Humedica SNNRP, South Omo Project is looking for a qualified Health Officer.
BASIC FUNCTION
Organize training for Traditional healers and gives technical support to HEW will supervise and give technical and administrative support to the Community Mobilizers.
Conduct Health Service readiness and availability Assessment for Health facilities in the project areas.
Sample Collection and linkage to lab networks for outbreak confirmation.
Involved in Early warning and Disease Surveillance mechanism in the project areas.
Conduct supportive supervision in collaboration with Zonal health Office.
Facilitate implementation of Health system strengthening project in the target woreda according to the detail implementation plan in alignment with donor and government requirements.
Facilitate training of Health extension workers and roll out of the training to Health Development Army and Community leaders together with woreda Health office.
Monitor and collect data of project implementation regularly and report the progress and challenges and lessons learned to the Field office coordinator.

Term of Employment: Contract until July 31st 2024 with possibility of extension
Salary: Gross Salary ETB 22,522(It includes pension, 4 % PF, 15% hardship allowance and 600-birr Transport allowance)
Place of Work: SNNPR, South Omo Hammer and Dasenech woreda .
Job Requirements
Qualification
BSC degree from recognized University/College
Required Experience
A minimum of Five years’ experience (Experience in humanitarian organization is desirable)
Required Skills:
Experience and excellence in health data collection methods, analysis and reporting.
Capable of experience of taking over supervisory functions, empathy, patience and coordination skill.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Excellent verbal, written and communications English skills;
Excellent networking and representation skills at high-level events, meetings and forums;
Language skills
Fluency and good command of Amharic, English and at least speaking one local language from South Omo is advantageous.
Other Skills
Capable of experience of taking over supervisory functions, empathy, patience
Interpersonal Skills requirements:
Ability to work harmoniously with the team.
