Job Description
Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate
The overall responsibilities of cashier/accountant are:
Maintain petty cash Fund
Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
Collect and disburse cash
Prepare payment vouchers
Receive and issue materials
Keep cash and stores under his/her custody in safe and secured manner
Keep records of the movement of store
Complete records periodically
Collect payments whether in cash or credit
Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change
Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.

Cashier skills and qualifications
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
· Accountability and accuracy in reconciling sales receipts
· Customer-service skills
· Attention to detail
Requirements:
Diploma in Accounting, Management or related business fields and 3 years direct experience for diploma holders and 2 years direct experience is also requested for BA holders.
