Reporting directly to the Head of Business Finance, the Supply Chain Business Controller is responsible for providing financial leadership and oversight to the Supply Chain function. This is a key leadership position within the finance function. This role will work closely with both our business unit accounting and financial planning functions.

• Planning and control of the production Cost: cost planning as part of the annual plan process.

• Periodic variance analysis of items consumption per department/processes/production lines

• Supporting the business planning cycle of Supply Chain including month end closure process and monthly production and variance analysis of cost of sales.

• Conducting cost and efficiency analyses/business cases and production fixed cost control and analysis.

• Control and analysis farm related costs and Submits reports to managers in a complete and timely manner.

• Control of the purchase quotes, purchase orders, invoicing, payment of supply chain expenses.

• Ensure the correctness of the cost base data which includes, control the correctness and completeness of production data against SYSPRO.

• Control and review monthly and yearly stock count processes in collaboration with the Warehouse team.

• Closely work with production team and providing support required

• Maximizing business performance by working closely alongside, supporting, challenging and influencing the Supply Chain Team.

• Providing advice, guidance, and influence/strengthen decision making in Production department.

• Assist the Production team with planning and budgeting process (annual budgeting and quarterly re forecasting).

• Manage daily inventory movement control of raw materials, packaging materials and work in progress (WIP).

• Perform the required regulatory reporting such as stock equation, reconciling manual delivery order with system transfer.

• Ensure accuracy of landed costs calculated by the Supply Chain Department for imported production inputs. 

• Ensure correctness of costs captured in the ERP system (Inventory module and integration to the General ledger).

• Ensure correctness and timely recording of stock receipts and issues of production inputs. 

• Manage monthly count of production inputs, prepare monthly variance reports and provide required explanation for any discrepancy.

• Actively supports key financial planning cycles (forecast, budget, and five-year-plan).

• Analyzes key category spend drivers and determines opportunities for improvement in product costs, logistics and freight spend.

• key participant supporting the company’s S&OP demand and supply planning process.

• Drives working capital improvements for inventory and AP with the ultimate goal of achieving ROCE targets.

• Ensures proper financial controls and related company policies are met to limit business risks

• Manages all aspects of the cost accounting and inventory control functions.  Participates in the company transfer pricing and contract manufacturing processes. Calculates E&O and other inventory reserves.

• Participates in the development of business cases to support future investments in new plant and equipment.  Tracks key capital investment projects and collaborates with accounting to ensure proper accounting entries.

• Drives a culture of continuous improvement and creates a funnel of potential efficiency gains and cost reduction opportunities.

Job Requirements

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND, EXPERIENCE

Education and Experience:

• BA/MA in Accounting, Business Management, Marketing Management or equivalent

• At least 6 years’ experience in Financial controlling leadership capacity within a fast growth manufacturing organization.
