Cheshire Ethiopia is an Ethiopian Resident Charity organization working on rehabilitation services for persons with disability specially on children and young people and invites qualified applicants for the Junior Physiotherapist post.
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the A.A Pediatric center manager , the junior physiotherapist is responsible for treating and assessing of children with disabilities (CWDs) and advising parents to do home developmental activities; writing prescription for appliances and medical referral to other hospitals or institution.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for treating three children with disabilities (CWDs) including one follow-up client per day.
Responsible for assessment and setting treatment goal for three new children with disabilities once per week.
Writes progress note for children with disabilities she/he is treating and as well for those you have assessed.
Writes prescription of appliance in consultation with multidisciplinary team (MDT).
Refers children with disabilities if need be to other hospitals or institution.
Writes discharge form and medical certificate for children who have completed treatment in consultation with MDT.
Trains Parents of children with disabilities how to do developmental exercises at home.
Writes monthly schedule and monthly report of your clients and submit.
Works in cooperation with the team of the Reed House and write case stories of CWDs who have been rehabilitated successfully.
Respects and abide with professional ethics and CE employees’ rules and regulation
Performs similar activities assigned by the manager or supervisor.
