1. Ensure the quality and standards of civil & water works the incinerator shed, the renovations, liquid and solid waste management and hand washing facility construction and installation as per the national standard.

2. Provide technical support to the project in reviewing drawings/designs, specifications and Bill of Quantities obtained from concerned government offices for technical compliance and engage on the same when executed at program and national office level

3. Provide technical support to the project in reviewing bid documents, and engineering cost estimations

4. Collect the required engineering data’s, analyze, design the hospital waste disposal through rehabilitation, installation and construction works as per the agreement

5. Provide on-job refresher technical trainings for hospital incinerator machine operators and other experts as required before handover the incinerator machine

6. Oversee and administer contracts through proper application of government civil work standards and manuals and signed contract agreement

7. Conduct regular site supervision and verification of takeoff sheets, and prepare payment certificate to be effected at program office and national office level

8. Collaborate and work with other project & partners staffs including regional health bureau, town municipality & hospital management in order to implement the project activities efficiently and effectively with in agreed time.

9.  Receive feedback from contractors in writing on progress of the construction works, challenges and concerns encountered and advise concerned WVE Staffs & unit on appropriate course of action in a timely manner

10. Oversee and ensure the timely handing over of completed constructions to the Hospital or the concerned government offices and ensure proper documentations for future reference

11. Conduct regular site visit and ensure the contractor use appropriate construction materials, such as good quality of sand, gravel, cement, water, reinforcing bars, concrete, depth of excavation, and so on according to Bill of Quantity, hire appropriate number of qualified construction workers, and provide good working conditions for them

12. Provide feedback and regular progress reports to Project Technical Supervisor on construction works

Job Requirements

1. Qualification required: MSc/BSc degree in Civil, Hydraulic, and Water Supply & Environmental Engineering and related field.

2. Work Experience required:  at least 5 years for MSc and 7 years for BSc proven experience on health facility liquid & solid waste disposal management construction works, implementation & project management experience is required.
