Job Description
Ensure the balancing of other bank cheques collected from the bank’s branches with the
claim totals attached with it
Prepare form and Annexes for cheque clearance;
Present outgoing cheques daily to National Bank of Ethiopia and forwards to the
respective bank representatives centered at NBE;
Collects daily incoming cheques from other bank representatives as per the EATS print-
out list and arrange for distribution to our bank branches;
Capture, update and verify cheques on Check clearance system;
Sorts out tickets/vouchers and takes run-ups to ascertain balancing with the debit/credit
summaries;
Post financial transactions to their respective accounts on Core Banking system;
Collect and submit advices and letters from/to National Bank of Ethiopia;
File all incoming and outgoing clearance source documents, formats and related annexes.
Keep the confidentiality of the bank’s records;
Job Requirements
Education
TVET Level –IV graduate in Accounting with COC Certification
Experience:
One-year experience in Check clearing or related activities at a Bank.
