Main Mission;

The Lab Chemist is responsible for analysis of malt as per the standard set by the company. He/she is also responsible for keeping all parameters set for raw materials and final products.

Main Duties and responsibilities;

• Conduct quality analysis for barely malt in and out of the factory.

•  Ensure proper documentations of laboratory, work instructions and     reporting of laboratory related. 

•  Perform Malt Sample Preparation and Analysis.

•   Report and follow up on any variance of Malt Specifications (Variety, Shipment)

•  Review Quality Check Samples to make sure lab is compliant

• Perform daily tasks basis Laboratory Protocols set by the company

•  Utilize laboratory equipment properly. Keep their cleanness, functionality and proper maintenance when needed.

• Assist in   external laboratory tests for malt, barley, water, wastewater and interpret and report the results;

•  Assist in safety, environment, and health initiatives of the company.

• Actively participate in all QMS initiatives and tasks. Suggest an improved way of lab management.

• Liaison with Production, Agronomy and Silo departments in all the tests and analysis to be made.

Job Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Applied Chemistry or equivalent.     

Experience: At least 3 years significant directly relevant experience in food processing or beverage industry.

Technical Skills:  

• Experience in the food and beverage industry required;

• Experience in quality analysis and laboratory analysis;

• Knowledge of HACCP, 5S and other recent quality and safety systems are a plus
