Job Description
The position holder shall be in charge of providing technical support for the SRH programs implemented within the sexual and reproductive health and nutrition unit. S/He will mainly be responsible for providing input for the adolescent sexual reproductive health and life skills manual development process and will also contribute for the finalization of scalable manual incorporating feedbacks from the pilot phase of implementation. The position holder will also be responsible in documenting process learning and sharing for the wider team members. S/He will also be responsible in providing technical support for the adolescent SRH program initiatives planning, implementing, monitoring, and scaling up proven approaches.
II RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Responsibility #1 Program Implementation Training and Technical Support:
Technically support the SRH unit management team in overall planning, implementation, and monitoring activities more specific to the adolescent sexual and reproductive health.
Provide input for the adolescent SRH and life skill manual development processes contextualized to the regional context.
Follow the implementation of adolescent SRH and life skill manual pilot testing phase in various region on the country.
Technically support in scaling up of the lesson and learning in adolescent SRH and life skill programming across project implementation areas;
Facilitate and ensure availability inputs required for the implementation and scaling up of adolescent SRH manual, approaches
Provide onsite technical support for the facilitator for empowerment and the government implementing partners;
Participate in capacity building trainings, for the project staffs and government partners.
Provide technical and logistic assistance and motivate the government counterparts as needed to led the implementation of SRH programs at the community level;

Responsibility #2 Planning and Supervision:
Support facilitator for empowerment regular planning sessions and provide on spot feedbacks to improve their efficiency;
Providing technical support for the government partners to plan and implement the community level SRH and life skills discussions
Provide formal and on job training and supportive supervision for facilitator for empowerment and mentors.

Job Responsibility #3: Networking and Learning:
Collaborate with other team member for effective integration between program implemented within the unit;
Collaborate with Local authorities and partners to harmonize different efforts for better impact and sustainability;
Works closely with communities, community structure and government partners to empower women and girls;
Participates in the documentation and dissemination of lessons learned in available forums;

Job Responsibility #4 Reporting:
Prepares weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and submits to project manager;
Organize woreda level review and learning meetings as appropriate;

A. EDUCATION/TRAINING
Required:
BSc in Public Health officer, Nursing or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Desired:
MPH in public health, Sexual reproductive health, epidemiology and related field
B. EXPERIENCE:
Required:
2-3- years of experience in Public Health or in Community Health Work particularly in adolescent health program and SRH;
Desired:
NGO experience
C. TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Required:
Knowledge and skill in organizing mobile health and nutrition team and implementation of essential health service at primary health care level
Language proficiency in written and spoken English;
Computer literacy in MS-Word, Excel;
Interpersonal communication and report writing skills;
Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, sensitivity to HIV/AIDS and participatory approach and sustainable development.
Knowledge of local language

V. CONTACTS/KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The SRH Officer is expected to establish and maintain open and cordial relations with SRHN team, government counterparts, the community, and other partners. S/he is also expected to establish good relationship with the Project manger, Health Extension Workers, facilitator for empowerment and other staff in order to provide technical and professional support in proper implementation of SRH and adolescent SRH programs.
VI. WORKING CONDITIONS
The project Officer-SRH will base at head office and will have frequent ravel to the SRH program implementation regions;
