Job Description

Ethiopia Institute of Architecture, Building Constriction and City Development, Addis Ababa University is seeking to recruit an academic staff with rank of Assistant professor or above who will be employed in the Chair of Ecosystem Planning and Management, Chair of Housing and Chair of Landscape Architecture.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Academic Qualification

PhD in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design or Environmental Planning or Urban and Regional Planning with PhD topic associated to landscapes in the built environment.

Work Experience

At least two years of teaching at Higher Educational Institutions; demonstrated research experience in landscape related topics & additional experience in projects that involve landscape design expertise like planning and designing urban landscapes. particularly with regard to planting design capabilities from the site to the city region level.
At least two publications in reputable journals

Key duties and responsibilities

A successful applicant will, among others,

Assist the Chair in managing and coordinating academic programs
Assist in teaching and advisory functions at the chair and the institute
Initiate and participate in researches on diverse issues of housing.
Follow up, monitor and report on academic and research functions at the institution.

Position/ Academic Rank: Assistant professor or above

Qualification: Ph.D
