Junior Cybersecurity Incident Response Officer

Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Job Summary

• The Junior, Cyber Security Incident Response Officer is responsible for assisting in identifying, detecting, isolating, handling, and resolving cyber security incidents and resolving information security incidents as they occur. In addition, the jobholder is responsible for assisting in proactively monitoring networks, alerts, and logs for security, performance, and other issues
  

Job Requirements

Academic & Professional Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering or any other equivalent field.

• Professional ICT qualifications such CISSP, SANS is an added advantage
  

Experience

At least two (2) years’ of relevant work experience

Required Technical Competency

• Understanding of IP networks traffic, firewalls, routing etc.

•  Knowledge of tools used to secure and test security of information systems.                                                                                                                                                                         Understanding and knowledge of IT risk assessment, risk procedures, security assessment, vulnerability management, penetration testing.

• Knowledge of threats and attack vectors as well as incident response and management.

• Knowledge of security standards, IT security regulatory and compliance regulations and standards.

• Knowledge of and practical experience with various Internet protocols

• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications.
