Job Description

Action for Social Development and Environmental Protection Organization (ASDEPO) is national NGO and not for profit humanitarian organization established in accordance with the charities and societies proclamation No 621/2009 and re registered under the 1113/2019 revised proclamation. ASDEPO is implementing currently various projects in Oromiya, SNNPR, Somali, Gambella, Benishangul Gumuz, Afar, Tigray and Amhara regions. To meet its objectives ASDEPO calls for competent professionals to apply for the Protection Officer (GBV and CP) vacant post.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively participate on Information Management Working Group Meeting and others.

  • Support the Preparation and delivery of technical trainings on CP IMS, Data management, provide coaching and technical support to the field officers and data clerks as needed.

  • Managing CPIMS + by making sure that it is functioning well.

  • Customizing CPIMS + database when need together with the CP working group.

  • Exporting data and importing data,

  • Review case load and monitoring statistics with the CP IMS data entry clerks; setting targets for case follow-ups and closure and identifying gaps as appropriate.

  • Maintain an appropriate filling system of received, open and closed cases as received from field sites and from other partners.

  • Implement the Data Protection Policy and appropriate standards for confidentiality of the information on the children and monitor staff and other partners’ adherence to it under the leadership and authority of the CP IMS Specialist.

  • Support the preparation and attend the CPIMS taskforce.

  • Orientate new data entry staff on CPIMS before they start working.

  • Making sure that data protocol is in place in all Camps.

  • Making sure that data Entries are fully engaged with their roles and responsibilities.

  • Addressing issues to Line manger if there is a gap on data quality for further fulfilment.

  • Assure protection of the systems and data by performing at least one system back up.

  • Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored are maintained

  • Ensure that data entry work is implemented as planned and meet the expected standards.

  • Produce High quality and analytical reports.

  • Support staffs with IT related issues whenever requested and perform other duties as assigned like IT related Issues.

Location:  Berhale, Dallol and Erbeti woreda of zone 2 Afar Region

Type of Employment: Contract, Initially for three month with possibility of extension

Number of post: Eight

Job Requirements

Qualification

  •  BA/BSC Degree in relevant fields such as Sociology, psychology, Health, Management, Gender studies, development management other related fields of study

  • Fluent written and spoken English
