Premier Switch Solutions S.C. (PSS) is a leading Electronic Payment Processing Company, established by major private banks of Ethiopia. The Company has implemented the first multi-institution shared-switch infrastructure to provide its member banks with a state of the art payment technology to drive ATM, POS, e-commerce, Mobile Banking and other payment channels and provide clearing of Debit/Credit card transactions for the banks. 

Currently, PSS has one vacant position stated below and would like to invite applicants who meet the qualification and required experience listed for this job opening. 

Description of Duties

• Involve in the implementation of the strategic direction of the IT infrastructure, environments Data Center administration.

• Manage the implementation of the IT policy, procedures and documents.

•  Perform the design, setup, installation, integration and operation of Data Center facilities to meet the business’ requirements.

• Monitor all servers, back-up devices, operating systems and environmental systems are installed, configured and always functioning optimally.

• Manage and monitor all Data Center assets such as computing devices and facilities (electrical systems, power sources, UPS, AC, humidity, smoke and fire detection, flood detection, surveillance cameras, door access, etc).

• Manage physical access to Data Center.

• Perform corrective and periodic preventive maintenance of Data Center equipment’s.

• Perform cleaning and dust removal of the Data Center facilities.

• Work with vendor and monitor all Data Center infrastructure support activities.

• Manage the successful delivery of Data Center and other projects.

• Conduct periodic Data Center infrastructure performance metrics.

• Involve in the design of Data Center capacity planning and build business continuity.

• Execute the upgrade and migration of Data Center infrastructures.

• Manage high availability, confidentiality, integrity and reliability of Data Center infrastructure.

• Provide support services to users within established SLAs;

• Work with all relevant IT and other work units in the group.

• Involve in research of Data Center technologies and standards.

• Build knowledge base from the lessons learned.

• Manage incidents timely.

• Provide training, coaching and mentoring of employees within the department towards effective career development.

• Prepare periodic reports.

• Attend incidents, interruptions, malfunctions, and system quality reductions at any moment.

• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fields

• At least 5 years’ relevant experience.

• Training in Cisco CCNA & CCNP, Data Center is preferable.

• Experience in managing and administering Data Center facilities.

• Relevant certifications are advantageous.
