Job Description
Purpose of the job
The role holder will be responsible for processing, monitoring and reconciling customer subscription payments made through manual.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure customers payments are processed timely, accurately with in daily cutoff times and deadlines.
Ensure any reconciliations items are investigated and cleared in timely manner.
Assist regional agents with customer payment.
Communicate and log calls for payment system issues
Investigate and clear queries in timely manner and provide update and escalation of queries to Payment Manager.
Proactively research and support new payment methods and solutions.
Keep up to date with new developments in banking environment
Prepare payment files to reprocess failed payments using automatic reconciliation system
Play an active role in cross team and companywide project in order to support the short term and long term strategy
Follow up 3rd party payment platform.
Prepare monthly reconciliation
Prepare daily and Monthly reports.
Qualifications & Experience
BA Degree in Finance, Computer science, Information systems or related field from recognized university
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a financial or IT environment
Advanced skills in MS Excel and Office
Excellent understanding of existing payment landscape of Ethiopia
