Main Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

• Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.

• Develop, maintain and update IT training manuals and train end users.

• Log data of customer inquiries and progress on their resolution.

• Respond to email messages for customers/end users seeking IT support.

• Communicate with end users to determine the nature of IT problems and their impact.

• Priority issue resolution tasks start with the most important and urgent issues.

• Walk customers through the problem-solving process.

• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.

• Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.

• Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other network systems.

• Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.

• Install computer peripherals for users.

• Follow up with users to ensure the issue has been resolved.

• Gain feedback from users about service quality.

•  Develop reports identifying malfunctions that continue to occur and propose improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience and Key Skills  

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent

• 5 years of previous experience in a similar position.

• Working knowledge of help desk software, databases, remote systems, and device control.

• Excellent communication.

• Ability to work in teams and work under pressure.
