Purpose Statement 

Motorist - is responsible for providing safe and reliable service and transporting documents from company to different offices. He or she will also perform company related errands as requested, and transport documents. He or she will establish an effective rapport and will be responsible to ensure all documents.

 Duties and Responsibility

• Ensure that the motorcycle is in good operating condition by testing the brakes, tires, lights and other components, complete the pre-trip inspection on a daily basis, and submit it to the GMO.  

• Receives a motorcycle after completing proper handover/takeover protocol.

• Avoids driving during unsafe hours.  

• Under no circumstance passes his motorcycle to unauthorized person and uses the motorcycle for the company purpose only.

• Delivers documents and materials with due care and in time.

• Provides gate pass to the security as and when the motorcycle leaves the company compound also records the mileage, destination, etc. … on the vehicle log book.

• Carries out routine daily check on the motorcycle and follows up the scheduled preventive maintenance.

• Reports dents, cracks, bruises or bumps of any magnitude on the body of the vehicle.

• Report minor and major accidents and complete required reports.

• Keeps the motorcycle clean and ensures that the windshield, mirrors & light glasses (head, side & rear) are always clear.

• Keeps tools, accessories & makes them ready for inspection (inventory).

• Will not drive a motorcycle while under the influence of alcohol.

• Uphold a positive image of the company by applying good and safe driving habits.

• Transport only authorized company documents only.

• Should park the motorcycle in a safe manner.

• Drive car company fieldtrips and Work overtime if required.

• Ensure that his/her proper driver’s license is valid at all times.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 8 and public one or motorcycle driving licensee

• 2 years of experience within a multinational/local corporation in a similar position of which at least two years in motorcycle driving
