The Job 

The Human Resources Manager will be expected to contribute at both strategic and operational levels to identify company priorities and recommend appropriate people, management strategies and solutions which support programmatic objectives, in addition to providing a customer-focused HR service. 

S/he will have overall responsibility for the HR functions, including developing internal HR manual, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, implementation and administration of internal human resources programs and employment policies, personnel record-keeping, training and development plan, and ensures compliance with labor laws and regulations. The Human Resources Manager will perform duties with all due diligence, efficiency and economy, in accordance with appropriate professional standards.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate and manage all HR functions and activities including, but not limited to, recruitment, on-boarding, orienting, contracts management, payroll, disciplinary processes, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, code of conduct compliance, timesheet management and employee engagement.

  • Support the Deputy CEO in establishing the annual work plan, setting priorities/ targets and performance measurements.

  • Implement and communicate HR policies, employment policies and administrative procedures

  • Verifies recommendations for bonus, salary increment, promotion, reclassification, demotion, etc. are made in accordance with established policies and procedures

  • Works closely with department heads to ensure Performance Management processes and tools are in place and practiced.

  • Provide day-to-day performance and talent management guidance to department heads (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, career conversations, and disciplinary actions)

  • Keeps and updates employee files confidentially both in soft and hard copies

  • Ensures that all employment processes are established in a transparent recruitment procedure.

  • Plan and study employee benefit schemes and propose how best it can be handled, and execute them on approval

  • Work closely with the Finance department on annual budgeting, payroll and pension. 

  • Advises all department heads on efficient and effective handling of talent management tasks such as planning, recruitment, placement, development, promotion, transfer and discharges;

  • Establish in-house training and development programs in accordance with needs identified and evaluates outcome of the training undertaken;

  • Develop job descriptions for various positions and determine appropriate base pay. 

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Masters degree in a field related to HR Management, Business management or administration, or relevant field from a recognized university.

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in positions of increasing responsibility in Human Resources and administration, with at least 3 years at a management level.

  • Experience in resource management and staff development in an organization.

  • Demonstrates Ethical Awareness and detailed knowledge of the local labor law

  • Builds and maintains partnerships, business oriented and results focused

  • Able to work in a fast paced work environment
