Job Description
Prepares chemicals, lab equipment, and student drawers for teaching lab. Maintains laboratory facilities and stockroom for experiments. Plans laboratory exercises with faculty. Tests and conducts experiments, exercises, and demonstrations. Provides technical assistance to staff and teaching assistants concerning experimental preparations and procedures. Ensures compliance with health and safety standards of laboratory operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares adequate quantity and quality of chemicals for experiments in a timely manner.
Run trials of experiments prior to classes and then demonstrate techniques for experiments
Liaise with academic staff to discuss timetables, equipment requirements and work plans
Ensure that equipment is properly cleaned and that chemicals, drugs and other materials are appropriately stored
Job Requirement
Qualified and Experienced: BED/BA/BSC and minimum of two years experience
A good standard of English is essential, plus an understanding of the objectives of organization
