General Job Description
Kerchanshe Trading Company seeks a Senior Human Resources manager who will serve as the Head of the Human Resources Department and as a key partner to the management team in leading and creating systems, and best practices to recruit, develop, and train a diverse and high-performing workforce. The senior HR manager will review and refresh the core human resource functions including hiring processes, onboarding, performance management and overall satisfaction of the workforce.
· Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
· Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
· Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
· Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date
· Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
· Maintain company organization charts and employee directory
· Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
· Maintain HR systems and processes
· Conduct performance and salary reviews
· Provide support and guidance to HR staff
· Analyze trends in compensation and benefits
· Design and implement employee retention strategies
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred, in a related field such as Human Resources or Organizational management, Business management, Business Administration or any other related fields.
Minimum 10 years of HR related experience and should have served as HR division head, Senior HR manager or HR Director for minimum 2 years
Skills Required
Exceptional communication skills, judgment and decision-making ability.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Must be able to work proactively and anticipate future needs or obstacles before they arise
Demonstrate initiative in the work environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English, Amharic and Afaan Oromo are mandatory.
Flexible and team player.
